Sunday 12th.
At Home all day, at 11 p.m. met & the whole went to Wygate, got 2 adults & 2 small, afterwards went to the Green, got 2 large & 1 large small, Took them to Bartholw

Naples is more specific about his company; the whole party; at Wygate they raised 4 bodies, 2 adults and two children and at the Green 3 more; two more adults and a ‘large small’ (a bigger child), a total of 7 bodies. They took them then to St Bartholomews, where they were in the habit of storing the subjects.

About theresurrectionists

My name is Kirsty Chilton. I am a Medical Historian working in London and relentlessly searching for the body snatchers of 18th and 19th century London. Currently, the content of this blog is a personal project to repost and comment on the diary of 19th century Resurrectionist Joseph Naples 200 years from the time it was written.
