Diary of a Resurrectionist Monday 13th January 1812

Monday 13th
Took 2 of the above to Mr. Brookes & 1 large & 1 small to Mr. Bell, Foetus to Mr. Carpue, small to Mr. Framton, Large small to Mr. Cline. Met at 5, the party went to Newington, 2 adults. Took them to St. Thomas’s.

Took two of the bodies resurrected on the previous day to Brookes (Great Marlborough Street School), and 1 adult and 1 child to Bell (at this time in 1812, Bell was still lecturing in his own school off Leicester square). One of the children is sold to Mr Frapmton and the larger child to Mr Cline (at St Thomas’s). Then the party went to Newington and also took those bodies to St Thomas’s, probably for sale but possibly also for storage – Naples is not specific.

About theresurrectionists

My name is Kirsty Chilton. I am a Medical Historian working in London and relentlessly searching for the body snatchers of 18th and 19th century London. Currently, the content of this blog is a personal project to repost and comment on the diary of 19th century Resurrectionist Joseph Naples 200 years from the time it was written.
