Diary of a Resurrectionist, Thursday 16th January 1812

Thursday 16th.
The party met at the Hartichoak. Settled the above, Each mans share £8 4s 7 1/2d. At home all night.

The Hartichoak (or Artichoke) is likely the public house in Newington mentioned previously (the party had a dispute about the horse). Each man’s share came to the rough equivalent of £279.

About theresurrectionists

My name is Kirsty Chilton. I am a Medical Historian working in London and relentlessly searching for the body snatchers of 18th and 19th century London. Currently, the content of this blog is a personal project to repost and comment on the diary of 19th century Resurrectionist Joseph Naples 200 years from the time it was written.
